Stars, an entrepreneur and CEO of Strategic Investments Group recently
participated in Detroit’s Millionaire Summit at the St. Regis Hotel.
Stars, an investment industry veteran says, “We found that there was a
hole of sorts in the marketplace and we saw a model that could help
negotiate challenging positions.”
The financial dynamo touts her decision to recruit and retain the
finest finance people available. Stars says the key to her success is
that she has emphasized trust and respect in her business, which
includes building an atmosphere of camaraderie and candor. “You must
always respect the [employees and clients] you work with. Talent begets
talent and we work hard to sustain an innovative, fun and open
culture,” she says.
In an increasingly hostile economic climate, Stars has managed to make
her presence felt in the male-dominated financial industry. She has
broken into the good ol’ boys club and carved a place for female
investment executives by coming through the side door.
“One
of the first orders of business is to certify and register your company
as a woman-owned business, which will make you more attractive to
investors looking to satisfy federal requirements for women and
