Mortal Kombat: Kollection
Publisher:Midway
Genre: : Arcade/Action
Platform:Playstation 2
In the world of video games, there is really no other franchise that can touch Mortal Kombat. This series produced not one, but two major motion pictures and had sales that went through the stratosphere.
These games literally became part of our culture in those early days, something many games today wish they could do. Mortal Kombat: Kollection is a deluxe package that gives you three classic games Mortal Kombat: Deception, Mortal Kombat: Shaolin Monks and Mortal Kombat: Armageddon.
All of these games feature mini-games and puzzle based games that add a little extra to the whole Mortal Kombat experience. MK: Deception has the single player Konquest Adventure mode and Chess Kombat, while MK: Armageddon features a new version of the Konquest Adventure plus a cart style racing game called Motor Kombat. MK: Shaolin Monks was the first attempt to bring RPG style gaming to the MK franchise.
Supposedly, or at least at the time, MK: Armageddon was rumored to be the last game in the MK franchise. But we know that’s not the case, since Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe will soon be wreaking havoc on the new generation consoles. Now that I think about it, Batman vs. Sub-Zero would be kind of fun. In the meantime, for new gamers that never really got into MK, the MK: Kollection is a good starting point. Three games, one low price. –dark abyss
