Man Who Killed T.I.’s Friend Sentenced to 66 Years
Hosea Thomas, the man who murdered T.I.’s longtime friend and assistant, 26 year-old Philant Johnson, was sentenced to 66 years today. Last month, a jury convicted Thomas, 34, of murder, felonious assault and illegally having a weapon after a felony conviction.
T.I. took the stand during Thomas’ trial and said he believed the shots fired at his entourage were really meant for him. T.I. was not hurt during the altercation. The shooting occurred after a post-concert party at a club in Cincinnati
No information has been released on when Hosea will begin his prison term.
