Comic book fans have been salivating ever since the initial teasers of The Spirit began to surface on the Internet. Their wait is finally over as the film finally hits theaters this weekend. Sin City fans should be pleased with The Spirit,since itchannels a similar energy. But for the average moviegoer, all of the beautiful women and Samuel L. “Jacksonisms” that abound throughout can’t right the ship. That’s unfortunate for a film that held so much promise. –dewayne rogers
