After claiming the No. 1 spot in its opening weekend and amassing $80 million dollars at the box office, those naysayers were effectively quieted. This time around, Martin appears more at ease in his portrayal of the bumbling detective, and the film benefits from his increased command of the role. Jean Reno once again turns in a solid performance, adding the perfect straight man complement to Martin’s hilarious antics. –dewayne rogers
