Camp Crystal Lake reopens with the youthful hope of fun and promiscuity that comes with summer camp. Instead of pillow fights and sex, the campers get the return of Jason Voorhees and a rising body count instead. Once again, the filmmakers return to a well that should have dried up years ago. Thankfully, there are a few redeeming moments for the blood and gore enthusiasts, but overall the film was average at best. –dewayne rogers
