Presidential Plan

TRUTH BE TOLD

I watched the Presidents press conference wear he mainly talked about his stimulus plan and how it could help this country out of the hole we are stuck in right now. I sat there and watched and the whole time never even thinking about changing the channel. The reason I’m saying that is because there was a time (the last eight years) when I would’ve not finished watching because I would have either been bored or simply just tired of shoveling bull. That being said I was very interested in what the president had to say if for no other reason than the dire situation that this country is in right now. Funny thing is everything he said made sense; and I believe that following the leadership of logical sensible government is our best bet right now.

The president answered questions after his address of course but I was impressed with the thorough and complex nature of his answers. He didn’t give generalized or short answers and he didn’t give answers that no one could understand he simply answered the question and went further by making sure everyone could understand the exact meaning of each answer in context. Basically what I got from what the president said was that this stimulus package is in no way supposed to be some magical solution, but a plan that can help with everyone pulling together for the good of all.

The president wants to get people spending again but not in an irresponsible manner. We want to slow down and strop the economic decline and then start to move in a positive direction. The way that he’s going to do this is simple in theory but a lot more complicated in actual applications, for a myriad of reasons. But he wants to put money in peoples pockets so that they can spend it properly back into the economy thereby loosening the credit back up and slowing down economic decline, from what I heard another phase of this is creating, and saving jobs; four million jobs.

Part of the plan is to make a couple million private homes and all the government buildings much more energy efficient, which will save taxpayers money while simultaneously creating jobs. I’m no political scientist and I only gave a vague idea of the actual plan in this article but it seems to me that this is our best chance out of this hole we’ve dug, and if anyone else has a better Idea I’m willing to bet President Obama would love to hear it. Other than that help out or step aside.

TRUTH BE TOLD:

  • I agree with the president; you might not agree with his plan but you have to agree that we can’t sit by and do nothing. Fin
