Describe your style in one word.
Schizophrenic. Really. It really just depends on the day. That’s what I love about being a woman. You can wake up one day and say ‘I feel like being a glamour goddess.’ or you can say you want to do jeans and long boots. I’m really all over the place, but that’s how my life is.
What’s the one style item you can’t live without?
An amazing pair of stilettos. I own two pairs of tennis shoes, one that I wear to the gym and one pair of Jordans that I’ve worn twice. Stilettos are a must have, especially for small, short girls.
What are your favorite places to shop?
I probably should be on their PR team, but I love Zara in Lenox Mall. They’re great because when you see something on the runway — for it to get to a department store it can take seven to eight months. … It’s completely past what’s hot and what’s new once it hits the department stores. Zara, if you see it on the runway, they can have it conceptualized and into the stores in two weeks. You’re getting the freshest, newest stuff and it’s so affordable. You can go in there with $20 and there’s something that you can buy.
If you could raid anyone’s closet, whose would it be?
J. Lo. You can say what you want about her personality, the way that she acts [or] that she’s a diva. Her clothes are tight because she does that couture urban, feminine thing to a T. I love her dresses and the way she has a real body — they fit her well. She doesn’t take a lot of crazy chances but when she does, they’re subtle and it’s sexy. Someone else is Rihanna if I’m feeling very funky.
