If Peter Greene, whose face graces this DVD’s cover, is recognizable, it’s probably from his role as Zed, the cobra-faced hillbilly from 1994’s Pulp Fiction. Here, Greene is a priest to whom sultry Jacqueline Bombay (Arlene Tur) confesses her story, thus justifying his image on the DVD. Otherwise, this film is about Jacqueline, who is betrothed to the cartoonish gangster Dante Calivari (Mike Maria), in order to build her crime boss father’s empire. This cliché-ridden gangsta fantasy rises above its low budget, but ultimately fails, thanks to a host of lousy performances that ensure that viewers will hardly care about the embattled Jackie.
