Once in a while a voice comes along that reminds us of past and present giants and affords us an insight into what the future of music sounds like. Brittany Bosco’s exploration into jazz, funk, soul and electronic music is as colorful an ode as the singer-songwriter’s inspirations and her sonic range. Bosco almost effortlessly channels her inner android on “Glitch,” while showing off the sassiness of early 20th century lounge singers on “Black Keys.” Somewhere between Jill Scott and Cindy Moon Mayweather, this up-and-comer has found her place while maintaining her originality. –silky o’sullivan
