“Everything is coming in order, step by step. It’s a good time in my life. I’m working with the best and he teaches me to strive to be the best … and I’m feeling good about who I am today,” he says.
Lil Chucky has made community contributions a part of his social regimen. Ro ran into the budding star back in December 2008 at the Snow White Christmas event, sponsored by DeShawn Snow, formerly of “Real Housewives of Atlanta” and former NFL star Willie Whitehead. “It’s a really a blessing to be a part of this … that’s what God wants us to do — to bless [other people],” he said during the event.
And what does Lil Chucky want to do? Keep the game rolling at its current speed. “I came home from school, and I told my parents my game is real tight. And they [were] like, you really want to do this? I’m like yeah, let’s do it,” he said of the events in 2006 that lead to his emergence on the music scene. “After that I did two videos — [but] that’s when Katrina came and we went to Atlanta. The second video I was in [was] with TI and after that the videos kept coming and coming, and I was doing big things.”
If his tour and guest spot on Lil Wayne’s single are any indication, Lil Chucky will do a lot more ‘big things.’ –terry shropshire
