As the winter cold begins to lift and the warmth of spring bursts forth, the change in the types of movies that are released is shifting as well. The Miramax flick, Adventureland,begins the cycle of “comedic summer” movies that scratches the itch of high school students going stir-crazy towards the end of the school year. While director Greg Mottola succeeds in providing an enjoyable viewing experience for that demographic, most mature moviegoers will find this film less than satisfying. –dewayne rogers
