Universal Pictures goes back to the basics by reuniting the original cast members for the 2009 rebirth of the Fast & Furious franchise. By bringing back Vin Diesel and Paul Walker to man the lead roles, one might infer that the studio understood its missteps with underwhelming franchise sequels (Tokyo Drift anyone?) But all is forgiven as Diesel and Walker command the screen with an enviable and authoritative charm. This installment elevates the franchise to its rightful status.–dewayne rogers
