Now the burgeoning actress gets her first shot as the lead of her own project with the new HBO series “The No. 1 Ladies’ Detective Agency.” Set in South Africa, this feel-good show is an adaptation of Alexander McCall Smith’s best-selling novels based on a Botswanan divorcée who becomes a private investigator.
