Mostly recorded in Melo’s Denver studios, Diego’s upcoming album (tentatively titled Language Arts) is chocked full of songs he says will further establish his name. Featuring Rick Ross, Jadakiss, Gorilla Zoe and Raheem DeVaughn among others, the album reprents the rapper’s diversity. Diego, who was born in New York, but has lived in Atlanta for 13 years, says his music is a mixture of both of regional influences.
“In New York I was listening to Nas and Wu Tang and when I got to Atlanta it was Tupac, UGK and Cash Money.”
Currently pushing his single, “Girls Gone Wild,” Diego says both he and Crossover Entertainment are poised for greatness. Recently the label signed rapper, Cassidy who is also prepared to leave an imprint in music.
“Crossover is like family,” he says of the label. “We’re going to be around for a long time.” –jh
