For album number four, the American Idol winner returns with a collection of tunes that showcases different approaches and feelings.
“Don’t Make ‘Em Like U No More” has prominent beats and orchestral-sounding music to augment its modern message. There are also a number of cover songs — Extreme’s “More Than Words” and Michael
Jackson’s “I Can’t Help It” are rendered superbly. Al Green’s “For the Good Times” lacks the emotion to come off as well, but Ruben, you strong singer you, don’t stop trying.
