Wear long sleeves and long pants. No skin should be exposed.
Wear full-fingered, snug fitting gloves. Purchase rain gear that is made for riders, which has elastic on the arms and legs.

Choose a jacket with protective armor that is manufactured specifically for motorcycle riders, which is longer in the sleeves and legs so that skin is covered when rider is seated.
