Success runs in Grand Hustle’s family, that’s why their CEO, Jason Geter, hasn’t stopped striving for it (pun intended). Geter and his business partner, Tia Jones, recently held the official grand opening for Strivers Row boutique and simultaneously launched the eponymous clothing brand, SR, in Atlanta’s trendy Virginia Highland shopping district.
“We wanted to add to Atlanta’s fashion scene, to fill a void, a gap in fashion, where we don’t have a grip like New York and L.A.,” shares Jones. The store offers an exclusive collection of ladies and men’s casual wear including brands like rapper T.I.’s AKOO, Canterbury of New Zealand, pop phenomenon Justin Timberlake’s William Rast, PRPS, WESC, Dylan George, Hellz Bellz and, of course, Strivers Row; custom fashion accessories and leather goods including Casio’s G-shock timepieces. “In fall 2009, we’re introducing [our] men’s Japanese selvedge denim collection [high quality denim that has a unique weaving process].”
Geter says they came up with the Strivers Row concept based on his view of what it means to strive. He offers, “Strivers Row is based on a mentality of someone who’s looking to expand his knowledge through travel and exploration, and progressing every day in life. That person has an open mind while he’s learning and growing. He’s also looking to gain life experiences while becoming rich: mentally and financially.” Exemplifying this mind-set, this creed is scripted on a wall in the boutique: “Everyday that I’m vertical I have a chance to influence the world.” – yvette caslin
