Probably every comedy starring Leslie Nielsen has the same “everything but the kitchen sink” approach to humor. This one gets a few laughs as a sort of reboot of the 1973 horror film The Exorcist. Nielsen plays Father Jebedaiah Mayii, a former exorcist, and Linda Blair plays Nancy Aglet, a grownup version of her Regan character from the 1973 classic. The only problem with parodying a movie like The Exorcist is its status, which may have decreased a bit due to changing social mores. Still, as a comedy, Repossessed is no contender for it’s predecessor — it mostly comes off as a faullty rip-off. This part of Lionsgate’s “Lost Collection” could have stayed lost. -forrest green III
