Lives will be changed by basketball on June 25, 2009. Sixty players will hear their names called in the 2009 NBA Draft and several will become instant millionaires. However, only a few of those players are likely to have a lasting impact in the league. In the days prior to the NBA Draft, ro sports will highlight the players who are likely to make NBA history and others who will just ride the bench. –amir shaw

Baller: Stephen Curry – Davidson


In 10 years, Stephen Curry could be the most successful player in the draft. His sweet shooting stroke is reminiscent of Ray Allen and he has the toughness of Allen Iverson. If Curry can land with a team that needs a legit scorer, he has the chance to make a great impact soon.

Bench Rider: Blake Griffin – Oklahoma


Blake Griffin has game. However, his superior skills will not be enough to save the dreadful Los Angeles Clippers. The historically bad franchise has a history of destroying great talent and could do the same to Griffin after a few years.
