Based on the book, In a Dark Place, A Haunting in Connecticut is the supposedly true story of the Campbell family whose new home becomes a ghost house, thanks to the devilish doings of the previous owners. As far as ghost movies are concerned, A Haunting in Connecticut isn’t that bad, it’s just the movie’s over use of cheap scares simply kills any hope of die hard horror fans enjoying the movie. That said, watching Virginia Madsen do her thing was the highlight of the movie for me. –dark abyss
