Nene Leakes is ready to satisfy your appetite
for unscripted drama with “Real Housewives of Atlanta,” which returns
to Bravo on Thursday, July 30 at 10 p.m. The most bankable reality star
in the franchise and the subject of tabloid fodder returns more
confident and enthusiastic than ever.
Unlike last season, when the entire cast was featured on the ro
magazine cover, Nene Leakes will appear solo. Last month, she co-hosted
the “Today” show with Hoda Kotb, was a featured guest Wendy Williams’
show, and is the only Atlanta housewife that TMZ has set its sights
on–catching her dining in L.A. during the BET Awards.
When rolling out
first featured Leakes on September 13, 2001, her story was eclipsed by
the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks. “When I was first featured in rolling out,
I was doing a theater show in Atlanta. Last year, I was on the cover
with my cast mates, this year. I am taking it holding it down all by
myself, ” says Leakes.
For women who want to boost the
excitement in their relationships, Leakes shares how she has kept her
husband’s eye solely on her for the past 12 years with some simple
secrets.
“I have been married longer than any of my cast mates. I’ve been with
my husband for more than 13 ½ years, which is a marathon in today’s
world because a lot of couples don’t make it. Gregg and I have had a
long run. The first advice I have to offer is keep yourself together. I
always think of Gregg as my boyfriend and not as my husband. I think of
the way that I used to be when I was dating him. Would you really sleep
in torn lingerie when you are trying to get your man? Everybody has a
bad night, but I won’t wear torn lingerie. Two, I always smell good
when I get in the bed. I have a real phobia about not smelling good.
Three, Women need to keep their hair together, damn. Please keep your
hair together, look good, smell good and lastly, try to keep your
weight down. It doesn’t matter what size a man is, he always wants his
woman to look good.” –yvette caslin
