Richardson is a neo-soul/urban contemporary singer-songwriter whose
music bears the mark of soul mavens like Bobby Womack. So it’s no
surprise that Richardson pays homage to Womack on this album of
remakes. On the cover of “Across 110th Street,” Richardson’s voice cuts
through the neo-soul grit keenly and distinctly. After that, the album
settles into a niche that is sometimes bluesy, sometimes ho-hum, but
