With the 2009 Chicago Auto Show in full swing, there’s no doubt folks will be impressed by this year’s concept vehicle line-up. During the special media preview leading up to the public exhibition, rolling out was able to catch a glimpse of some the innovative new cars that will have people buzzing for years to come. After doing some research, we decided to compile a list of the five best concept cars to look forward to in 2010 and beyond. Why it’s hot
: Introduced for the first time at the Chicago Auto Show and influenced by Chevy’s original Stingray released in 1959, this sleek automobile is a designer and car buff’s fantasy. While staying true to the original race car concept of its predecessor, the Stingray also finds inspiration in earlier Corvette models. The Stingray is also set to be featured as the lead character, SIDESWIPE, in the upcoming film, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.

Why it’s hot:

Dubbed as the “Cadillac of electric cars,” the Converj fuses the automaker’s traditional design with more forward-thinking, green components. The emission-free vehicle comes with a choice of two engines and battery, with about 120 miles worth of power.
