Spike Lee Calls on Diddy, Rosario Dawson and Queen Latifah to Speak at the ‘Refresh the World’ Symposium

altA day before President-elect Barack Obama ascends to
the highest office in the land; filmmaker Spike Lee gathered some of
the most respected minds in the fields of education, economics and
hip-hop for the “Refresh the World” symposium at Howard University.
Sponsored by Pepsi, the symposium featured several panel discussions
that challenged the experts to present solutions that will help
Americans prosper during the Obama administration.

Lee, who will feature the
symposium in an upcoming documentary, talked about the importance of
changing the approach to solving problems. “We need some radical
thinking,” Lee says. “The same old okie doke is not going to get things
done.”
