Holly Robinson Peete Attends Unveiling in McCafé Lounge at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week

Holly Robinson Peete Attends Unveiling in McCafé Lounge at Mercedes-Benz Fashion WeekActress, wife, mom and philanthropist Holly Robinson Peete joined Duckie Brown when they unveiled a limited edition glove collection to benefit Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) and celebrate the 35th anniversary of the first Ronald McDonald House at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week. Ro caught up with Peete in the McCafé Lounge and she said if she could be any McCafé, it would be a “Capuccino, it’s the cinnamon and brown sugar thing.” She continues, “I love that it’s [McCafé] really upscale. I had Mocha today; I mixed vanilla and caramel in it and had a lot of whip cream. It was really good.”

In partnership with McCafé, Duckie Brown designers Daniel Silver and Steven Cox returned to their roots to benefit charity. “Having been a glove designer 20 years ago–this is especially rewarding for me personally,” Silver explains. “Steven worked at McDonald’s and I’m a former glove designer. I couldn’t make this up. I’m not that clever.” One hundred percent of proceeds from sales of the gloves will be donated to RMHC.

Peete accompanied RMHC patients Gail and Ashley to the showing of Duckie Brown’s Spring 2010 collection. Peete is the mother of four and the co-founder of the HollyRod Foundation with her husband Rodney Peete. –yvette caslin
