Shay Williams Dated 100 Men to Discover the Secrets to Achieving a Successful Relationship

Figuring out the perfect formula to achieve a successful
relationship can be painstaking. So in an effort to devise a method that would
alleviate some of the dating miscues that men and women encounter, Shay
Williams dated over 100 men in a span of nine months to explore the psychology
of dating. She reveals her findings in her new book, D.I.V.A Don’t Get
Played!

There are a multitude of books about relationships that are out right now. Why should single people read D.I.V.A Don’t Get Played!?

I think the difference is that my book is scientifically
proven. I went on 100 dates to discover the psychology of men and the art of
dating. I interviewed over 1500 men, women and couples and I went on a deep
study to find this info. I also incorporated new thoughts and old school ways
of dating that [were] normal for our parents and grandparents.

You speak of traditional ways of dating. Why did the
traditional way of dating seem to work for our parents and grandparents?

I think what worked back then was that men and women
understood their roles. Women knew that it was a man’s job to earn her heart.
Men always want a woman who isn’t too easy. I think it’s important for women to
understand that some things will not change. Having sex on the first night will
not allow you to find your husband. Back in those days, women had to be more
reserved. In my book, I teach women that you need to understand what it takes
to be a D.I.V.A (Divine Intelligent Vivacious and A challenge).

What can men get from this book?

The book is written from a female’s perspective, but I
interviewed hundreds of men who agree with what’s in the book. I have
encouraged good men to raise their standards so that they can find women who
will allow them to have a drama free relationship. There are certain things
that men should never ask a woman. For example, a woman will never tell you how
many sexual partners she has had. In the book, men can learn when to approach a
woman about certain things.

How did writing this book benefit you?

I wrote the book because I needed answers for myself. I was
clueless about dating and men. I made every mistake. I wanted to be able to
date successfully and minimize the heartbreak. I did the experiment and I learned
that women do things that turn men off. There are certain behavior traits that
women can develop to catch a man’s heart. Being easy and independent will not
do it. Some women use strong personalities to climb the corporate latter, but
that doesn’t work in relationships. Catching a man is easy, but you have to be
able to keep him

Shay Williams will celebrate the release of her two new books: D.I.V.A. Don’t Get Played and Mommy    D.I.V.A. Don’t Get Played on Nov. 12 at 201 Courtland Street N.E., Atlanta, GA 30303 at 4 p.m.
