Gillette and rolling out recently honored several of Philadelphia’s most accomplished barbers and stylists at the 2009 Men of Style Awards. Held at the exquisite Luxe Lounge, the event, which was hosted by Fonzworth Bentley and Lady B of WRNB 107.9, celebrated stylish men who have made an impact in their communities.
“Barbers play a key role in the community,” said Burrell’s Melody Harris, representing Gillette. “Barbershops are a rite of passage for most men, so the barbershop was the ideal environment for Gillette to share its research and provide African American men the opportunity to experience our new technology.”
Along with the Men of Style Awards, Gillette will also sponsor The Gillette Fusion MVP Experience at The Philadelphia Hair Company on Wednesday. The event will feature professional shaves compliments of Gillette Fusion, barbers and dermatologists will give advice on sensitive skin and razor bumps, and several celebrities and special guests will make appearances.
