Let’s Do Lunch
Going to eat is one of the tried-and-true pillars of dating. There are few better ways to get to know someone and it’s great for conversation. But sometimes going out to dinner can be an expensive proposition. If you are currently active in the dating scene, it may seem like you have to spend a great deal of money in order to go out on dates with a significant other. Lunchtime is usually a lot more economical and restaurants often feature lunch discounts — no matter where you decide to eat. If you’re looking to enjoy a meal together, maybe it’s a bit wiser to do so between the hours of 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.
The Great Outdoors
In the warmer months, don’t be afraid to step outside. You can spend time together without spending a large amount of money and it gives you a quiet and possibly even romantic setting to get to know one another. Also, a notable side benefit is that it helps you stay healthy — both of you. And any activity that promotes an active lifestyle can’t be a bad thing. Hiking, cycling, jogging or swimming are easy on the budget because they cost little or nothing to engage in.
Visit Museums, Zoos and Art Galleries
Depending on where you live, many galleries, museums and possibly even zoos are free to the public. Plan a day with free activities and you can save some money without looking like a cheapskate. It also helps to raise your cultural awareness and artistic appreciation, and may be impressive to the person you are wooing. The best way to locate free activity options in your area is to look online or stop by a local visitor’s center to determine what options are available for you in your city or neighborhood. –todd williams
