Three weeks after the untimely death of Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Chris Henry, his fiancée Loleini Tonga discussed what occurred on the night when Henry lost his life. According to police reports, Henry sustained critical injuries after falling from a pickup driven by Tonga during a domestic dispute. Tonga recently spoke publicly about the incident for the first time.

“He jumped,” Tonga says. “He jumped from the back of the car. I think he thought that he was going to land right. I have no idea what was going on through his mind. I know I wasn’t going fast at all. … I was trying to drive slow because I knew he was in the back standing up.”

“But as far as him wanting to end his life, no, he had too much going on. I know he wouldn’t want to be gone away from his kids. He loves his kids. And everything was going really good. It’s just that one day.”
