Indictment on the Horizon for Michael Jackson’s Doc, Conrad Murray

conrad murray Michael Jackson’s doctor, Conrad Murray, is on the brink of being indicted on charges of involuntary manslaughter for the singer’s shocking June death, the Associated Press reports.

Dr. Murray was under investigation for negligence in administering the drug Propofol to the pop star.

A California law enforcement source, speaking on condition of anonymity due to the pending nature of the investigation, says Dr. Murray will be prosecuted on a theory of gross negligence. The AP says the district attorney’s office is just waiting for the Los Angeles police to turn the case over before presenting it to a grand jury.

Dr. Murray’s lawyer, Edward Chernoff, said the doctor had no comment and stressed that he neither prescribed nor administered anything that should have killed the singer.

Dr. Murray’s life has been nothing but a series of legal battles since the King of Pop died; including IRS inquiries and an ongoing child support battle. He finally managed to return to work, which prompted MJ’s grieving sister, LaToya, to stage a public protest. The professional and emotional impact of it all led Dr. Murray to publicly seek prayer from his church home to find the strength to get through it all.

Looks like it’s back to the altar for the embattled doc. –gerald radford
