Wiz Khalifa may already be one of the biggest hip-hop artist to
come out of Pittsburgh, as demonstrated on his Deal or No Deal
album. The former Warner Bros. Records recording artist has
his eyes set on putting his city on the map. Khalifa’s rhythmic
and versatile flow is unique and one that listeners have grown
to appreciate, which explains why he was tapped by Rostrum
Records. Fans can expect to hear more from the lyricist
during his upcoming “Deal or No Deal” tour. They should also be
on the look out for his Taylor Gang clothing line.

Describe your music.
My music is really just fun, motivational and just really encouraging people to have fun, be yourself and be the best.
When are you releasing your next album?
Cabin Fever is gonna be the second mixtape that I drop this year, I’m gonna drop Kush and Orange Juice first.
Would you ever alter your content to become more mainstream?
I definitely wouldn’t alter my content. If I’m focusing on mainstream success then that’s what I’m aiming for or whatever project I’m working on then, I’ll probably gear it towards that, but I wouldn’t compromise anything.
What are your plans for touring more in the south?
The more support the better, I’ve been getting a lot shows in Florida college towns [and] around Atlanta and New Orleans. So it’s getting out there more … but I think my sound is more of a northern and midwestern sound, so I think it’s just taking [southerners] a little longer to catch on.
