City High’s Claudette Ortiz Driving ‘Em to Drink: Group Mate on A&E’s ‘Intervention’

city high

The “high” in former Grammy-nominated R&B-hip-hop trio, City High’s (“What Would You Do”), name meant more than we knew. Apparently, group member Claudette Ortiz, you know the “5’5” with Brown Eyes” singer, was driving brothers to drink.

Group members Ryan Toby and Robby Pardlo (founder) were involved in a love triangle with Ortiz and it ended in a deep, dark spiraling down into alcoholism for the lovelorn Pardlo. He was the first to have a relationship with the beauty, and then his group mate and friend, Toby, took up with her and put a ring on it. The end wasn’t pretty … the group split, love was most definitely lost and Pardlo was left with his heart in one hand and a bottle in the other. His story was just showcased on A&E’s “Intervention,” a program about family members working to end alcoholism in unsuspecting abuser’s lives. “The reunion will not be televised!”
