Mariah Carey can’t stand it when husband Nick Cannon is a slob. “She hates when I’m messy when it has to do with her nice stuff. Like, I can’t throw my jacket on the Marilyn Monroe piano — but I do,” Cannon tells Entertainment Weekly. The chairman of Nickelodeon’s “TeenNick” says dressing up for his first meeting with Carey helped propel her into his arms: “I wore my good cologne. Did some push-ups. Tried to get my grown-man look on.”

Following her Oscar nomination this week for Best Actress, Precious star Gabourey Sidibe is now facing a tough decision: Who to bring to the March 7 ceremony.
That’s not to say that the actress, 26, hasn’t been giving this some thought already. “I want to make Justin Timberlake and [Hurt Locker actor] Anthony Mackie fight it out for the honor of being my date,” Sidibe told the Canadian entertainment TV show “eTalk” this week. “I’m just going to throw them in the ring and make them do it!”
But if Sidibe had to narrow it down to one guy, her heart is set on Timberlake. At one point during the interview, Sidibe turns toward the camera and makes her direct appeal. “Justin,” she says, “if you’re not doing anything on that night, maybe you could be my date or something. It’s fine. No pressure!” (What would his girlfriend, Jessica Biel, think?)

Janet recently sat down with Wonderland magazine, and admitted that she often forgets her brother is gone and expects him to call her.
“It gets sad sometimes because, I don’t know, you think your phone is going to ring and you hear that voice calling your name,” she said. “But, yeah, life goes on and everybody grieves differently. And every day is different. Some days it’s much easier than others.”
The singer says that Michael’s death made her realize she needed to make changes in her life. “A lot of people in this industry have a lot of ‘yes’ people. That I can tell you I do not have. A lot has changed in my life this year, a lot of changes, I think I’m kind of heading in a different direction for sure,” she added.
One direction Janet could be moving in is film. While Miss Jackson has starred in a few projects, she hasn’t done an action flick yet. She hopes that will soon change. “There was a time when I met with the Wachowski brothers to do The Matrix, a long time ago but there were scheduling conflicts,” she said. “I want to kick somebody’s a–. Anybody’s, as long as I get to kick somebody’s a–. Kick a new hole in their butt. Rip ‘em a new butthole, I’d love to do that.”
