How to Plan a Romantic Anniversary for $50

altTrying to plan a romantic and refreshing way to commemorate your anniversary? Remember this phrase — super sexy on a budget. Like the commercial says: Spending an evening playing tantalizing games in sensuous and seductive intimate apparel. Cost: $50. The romance and heat generated: priceless.
Party planner and event designer Erika Jones says creating the right ambiance is essential, but also super simple. Jones, who often sings background for various musical acts around the country, specializes in setting the stage for intimate events at soirees.

“Basically, you’re using what you have,” said Jones, who owns and operates A Social Life. She said it depends on how crafty you are when it comes to making a memorable and romantic evening. “The sexiness is that you can actually create a menu that the two of you can cook together. If you ever want to cut costs, cook the meal yourself.” Jones suggests that you take out the cookbook, decide on a menu and plan to make something like Coconut Chicken Curry soup, Lobster Creole or heart-shaped pizza. She added that if you are creating the meal solo test it out first.

The good news about this evening, Jones explains, is that the bulk of your ,money will be spent on the meal. You cane use the remainder for rose petals, inexpensive wine or activities like sexy games, bubble bath or an arousing body massage.

“You can always use rose petals. Rose petals are inexpensive and they last long,” she said. “And after awhile you will start to keep rose petals in the house.”

Jones also added another activity that some may have overlooked. Instead of renting a video, hit youtube.com for some interesting videos. That fee is already included in your monthly Internet bill. To make the evening really special, for those who want more, Jones suggests investing in a personal chef. That way the chef spends time devoted to the food, and you spend time devoted to your significant other. The chef may even bring the candles and help set the mood if needed.

“At the end of the day, simplicity is where it’s at,” concludes Jones. –nykeya woods
