As Dallas prepares to host the biggest All-Star Game in NBA history, a winter storm has began to blanket the city with snow. According to the National Weather Service, the Dallas/Fort Worth area may receive 4-6 inches of snow before midnight.
It was estimated that nearly 90,000 fans would pack Cowboys Stadium for the 59th NBA All-Star Game on Sunday. Along with the severe winter storm that has hit the East Coast, the storm in Dallas will likely create travel issues for thousands of individuals who plan to attend this weekend’s festivities. NBA officials have assured that all scheduled activities will take place despite the weather. The players are set to arrive in the city on Thursday and Friday.
The National Weather Service forecast temperatures to be as high as 55 on Saturday and 48 on Sunday. –amir shaw
