TV One continues with their “Way Black When” series. Next week’s segment (Monday, Feb. 15–Friday, Feb. 19) focuses on classic black sitcoms that not only became a proving ground for some of Hollywood’s most successful black actors, but also an authentic reflection of African American life. This week’s host is Darryl Bell (“A Different World”). He will be joined by a panel that includes actors from the featured sitcoms, including Ernest Thomas and Haywood Nelson (“What’s Happening!”); Marla Gibbs (“The Jeffersons”); Jimmie Walker and BernNadette Stanis (“Good Times”); Lynn Hamilton (“Sanford and Son”); and Bells’ castmate Ajai Sanders. Tune in each night from 8-10 p.m. EST.
