NBA All-Star weekend has become one of the most fascinating events in America. It showcases the best basketball players in the world and provides a festive environment for fans. But beyond that, NBA All-Star weekend also features celebrities, parties and hundreds of women that could challenge Halle Berry in a beauty contest.
“There will always be interesting scenarios when it comes to All-Star weekend,” says William C. Rhoden of The New York Times and author of The Million Dollar Slave. “Anytime you get boys with money and girls with a lot of charm, there is always that chance for some of these guys to lose focus during the weekend.”
But while hooking up is a natural occurrence during the weekend, some women are merely on a business trip. According to several reports, thousands of sex workers came to Dallas specifically for NBA All-Star weekend.
“There is this woman who came from Houston with an escort service,” Rhoden says. “She brought 100 girls down here and they rented out a warehouse so that they could throw private stripping parties. You have a lot of people with money and they are looking for entertainment.”
Prostitutes and strippers found paying customers, but NBA players managed to stay out of the news headlines.
