Gucci Mane vs Young Jeezy: Crews Have Downtown ATL Shootout, Wacka Flocka Involved

altIn our latest installment of ‘entourages gone wild,’ Young Jeezy and Gucci Mane’s crews allegedly pummeled each other for around 30 minutes, then exchanged gunfire in a downtown Atlanta clothing store yesterday.

The altercation took place at around 4 p.m. in Walter’s Clothing, a spot frequented by celebrities, after Gucci Mane’s group showed up and spotted Jeezy’s crew, a witness told the Atlanta Journal Constitution.

“There was a physical altercation inside the location between several men,” Atlanta Police spokesman James Polite confirmed to the AJC. One of the men produced a weapon “and as a result a private armed security guard of a local entertainer discharged his weapon.”

That “local entertainer” was rapper Wacka Flocka Flame, born Juaqin Malphurs, who was shot during a failed robbery attempt back in January. He’s a member of Gucci Mane’s 1017 Brick Squad.

“They just started going at it,” said a Walter’s employee.

Authorities say no one was hit during the gunfire, but witnesses confirm that a few eyes were dotted before it was all said and done, including Flocka’s. The rapper’s private guard was detained by police.

Gucci Mane, aka Radric Davis, is currently in the Fulton County jail for probation violation and is awaiting a May release.

His dispute with Young Jeezy started in 2005, according to Allhiphop.com, but supposedly ended last December during an appearance on DJ Drama’s Gangsta Grillz show on Atl’s Hot 107.9.  I guess they didn’t get that memo. -gerald radford (sourced from AJC)
