According to reports, R&B singer, D’Angelo, was arrested in New York City this weekend after soliciting an undercover cop for oral sex.
The singer was reportedly riding around Greenwich Village in his Range Rover when he started feeling a little “needy.” He allegedly spotted a prostitute on the side of the road that could, with no strings, possibly be able to meet those needs and offered her $40 for her services. That prostitute turned out to be an undercover cop.
The cop searched his vehicle and found that the singer was rolling with $12,000 on his person. Probably moreso out of hurt feelings because she was only offered $40 of it, he was arrested and charged with solicitation.
Either he was planning for a long, long night of spreading the love – in the West Village, which is known for ‘mystery dates’ or… Whatever the case, he can now use that cash for bail. -gerald radford
