NeNe Leakes of Bravo’s The Real Housewives of Atlanta smashed a big cream pie in the face of Fox Network this week by bailing on an interview at the very last minute. The outspoken reality star was scheduled to be interviewed on-air in New York, but wasn’t aware that it would be with a Fox affiliate. Leakes has no love for Fox, so upon learning the news, she immediately bailed.
Leakes is in New York promoting her book and has been keeping her Twitter followers updated on her every move during the trip. On the day of the interview, she didn’t mention anything about the walkout, simply tweeting, “Still grinding in rainy NYC! Book signing in Harlem today! Hue-man bookstore at 6 p.m.! Show some love New York.”
According to TMZ, “sources on the set say that she realized it was a Fox show just a few minutes before her appearance,” and witnesses overheard her saying “she hates the network” and was salty about a recent report by Fox 5 Atlanta regarding the arrest of her son, Brice Bryant.
Many hold those same ill-feelings toward Fox, but burning bridges may not be the best idea, Leakes. Handle your “15” with care. –gerald radford
