Wacka Flocka Flame is bad luck personified. Known much more for his numerous violent altercations and legal infractions than for what he’s done in the studios thus far, Atlanta-based rapper Wacka was arrested in Texas after breaching the terms of his probation, the media states.
Wacka was arrested for unlawfully leaving the state of Georgia to perform in Austin, Texas. Wacka, born Juaquin James Malphurs, is currently on probation in Georgia for possession of a sawed-off shotgun.
Doesn’t look like Wacka is going to get out anytime soon either. He will be held without bail at the Houston County Jail until he can face a judge there in a few weeks.
Wacka’s week started off promising enough. None other than Diddy rolled through Atlanta to record a video with the oft-troubled rapper. Also, his single, “O Let’s Do It,” is moving steadily up the charts.
Wacka has had a tumultuous beginning to 2010. First he was shot in a botched robbery attempt on Atlanta’s south side. Then his eye was blackened when he was punched after the crews of Gucci Mane and Young Jeezy stumbled up on one another in a downtown ATL clothing store. Then last week in Gary, Ind., eight teenagers were shot in a drive-by following a concert Wacka gave there, which of course followed a brawl inside the performance venue. –terry shropshire
