After much speculation and legal wrangling, DNA tests have proven that Mathew Knowles is the father of the love child born to Alexsandra Wright, according to media reports.
Wright had already successfully filed a paternity suit in October 2009 against Knowles, who was ordered to pay $8,200 a month in child support. This had confirmed in most people’s minds that Knowles was the father of Wright’s baby, whose name is Nixon.
Wright claimed she and Mathew Knowles had engaged in a 18-month-long affair.
Around the time of the Wright’s suit, Beyoncé’s mother, Tina, filed for divorce from Mathew. Reports state that they had been living separate lives for years and that this revelation only hastened a process that was inevitable anyway.
Reports now surface that lawyers for Wright are preparing to file for additional child support payments now that the father‘s identity has been officially established. –terry shropshire
