This disc set from Well Go USA features four classic movies from the Shaw Brothers movie archives: The Heroic Ones, The Delightful Forest, Two Champions of Shaolin, and Heroes Shed No Tears. While these offerings don’t represent the best Shaw Brothers studios had to offer (check out Shaw Brothers Collection for the good stuff), as a whole, they’re pretty solid. The Heroic Ones is probably the most interesting of the bunch. Filmed in the early ‘70s, it was one of the most expensive Chinese movies ever made. Colorful sets and epic battle scenes offer a lot of historical eye candy. All four movies have been remastered and come packaged in a very cool metal tin. —dark abyss
