The UK Telegraph is warning of a new potential terrorist weapon: breast implants.
“Radical Islamists plastic surgeons could be carrying out the implant operations in lawless areas of Pakistan, security resources are said to have warned. Explosives experts have reportedly said just five ounces of Pentaerythritol Tetrabitrate packed into a breast implant would be enough to blow a “considerable” hole in the side of a jumbo jet. It would be virtually impossible for airport security scanners to detect the explosives if hidden inside a breast, medics have said,” the paper reports.
Already dogged by working to develop catch-all ways to detect weapons of determined terrorists, this news certainly adds to the FAA’s frustrations — and otherwise innocent women that simply wanted to beef up their appearance.
