Shock jock Howard Stern has ruffled a few feathers with his very controversial remark about Gabourey Sidibe, the star of the Oscar winning film “Precious.”
Stern implied that the young actress had no future in entertainment and would not be able to book jobs in Hollywood because of her weight.
Despite the comments made Sidibe is scheduled to host an upcoming episode of “Saturday Night Live,” and is set to air sometime in May or June
Sidibe will also be starring in a reoccuring role Showtime’s upcoming series “The Big C,” a drama about a teacher living with cancer. On the show which is slated to premier in August, she will play a sassy student will “The Big C” is scheduled to premiere in August.
Kudos to Sidibe for doing such a superb job of showing Mr. Stern that his words can’t and won’t stop her.
