The drug epidemic continues to affect the youth. On April 13, an 8-year-old third grader took nearly 80 bags of heroin to his elementary school and handed out the lethal drugs to his classmates in Wilkinsburg, Pa.
The boy was caught with the drugs after a teacher noticed him fumbling with something in his pocket. Wilkinsburg Police eventually seized the heroin that was in the boy’s book bag and later found 18 bags, some opened, in a trash can.
The words “Trust me” were marked on each bag. The drugs had a total street value of $1,000.
The boy’s 25-year-old mother, Chynita Young, has since been arrested. –a.r.
