A member of the notorious Crips street gang received a prison sentence of more than 1,000 years for murdering NFL star Darrent Williams. On April 30, Denver District Court judge handed Willie Clark
a 1,152 year prison sentence assuring that he would never taste freedom again.
Clark is responsible for firing a gun into Williams’ limousine on New Year’s Day, 2007, after both men left a Denver nightclub. Williams, 24, was killed and two others were injured. Clark was convicted of first degree murder and attempted murder.
Williams attended college at Oklahoma State University and was drafted by the Denver Broncos with the 56th overall pick in the 2005 NFL Draft. –amir shaw
