Snoop Dogg Tries to Rent an Entire Country; Banned From performing in Netherlands

Snoop Dogg Tries to Rent an Entire Country; Banned From performing in NetherlandsThe Doggfather of rap music had an interesting request for one particular European nation:

He wanted to rent that nation. All of it.

Yes, Snoop Dogg wanted to borrow an entire country for an upcoming video shoot. Granted the country, Liechtenstein, is only 61.7 square miles – extremely miniscule for a country. But it is extremely large for a single video shoot. There have been some magnificent milestones in the history of videos

But here’s the interesting part of the whole strange ordeal: the country of Liechtenstein was down with it. They were going to lend their country to Snoop Dogg [insert appropriate laugh track here] so that he could shoot his video.

“It would have been possible,” local property lease agent Karl Schwaerzler tells the Daily Mirror, Snoop’s management simply “did not give us enough time. We’ve had requests for palaces and villages, but never one to hire the whole country before.”

Wow.

In other Snoop Dogg news, the rapper, who headlined Britain’s Glastonbury Festival last week, was banned June 17 from performing at a free concert in the Netherlands, because promoters sought a more “open and friendly character,” reports the Huffington Post
