Tiger Woods will be paying a hefty price for having sex outside of matrimony. Woods has come to an agreement with his ex-wife, Elin Nordegren, that will award her a whopping $750 million in the couple’s divorce case. The settlement should be finalized next week.
Per the terms of the settlement, Nordegren will take ownership of the couple’s home in Florida and she’ll have full custody of their two children. Woods will be able to visit his children for several days each week. However, Woods will not be able to bring another woman around the children unless he is married to her.
The biggest advantage for Woods in the settlement is Nordegren’s gag order. She will be unable to comment or write about her relationship with Woods in any manner.
Woods reportedly slept with dozens of women during his marriage to Nordegren and left a sloppy trail of text and voice messages that were eventually made public.
Although he caused his wife emotional stress, humiliation and may have risked her life by having unprotected sex outside of his marriage, is it reasonable for Woods to have to pay $750 million to his ex-wife? –a.r.
